3D Logo Design?

Interestingly, we have had many enquiries about integrating 3D into our logo designs from people who love the photo-real finish.
Typography in illustration is a massive trend at the moment, and 3D text gives the artist another dimension to play with. The power of 3D applications provides us with a sense of realism allowing for seamless blending with photos etc, but the truth is, that Photo-real 3D is not the most suitable medium for logo design, though it works well for other aspects of marketing. One example of this would be ‘design for print’; where high gloss render and photo-realism in illustration really come into there own. See below:

A logo ought to be in 2D format, and at a push, creating the illusion of 3D using Photoshop or Illustrator. The logo can be modelled & rendered using 3D software for other forms of advertising, but that would be in addition to the original 2D format, and would have different applications.
If you are interested in creating beautiful 3D renderings of your logo for cross media advertising, please contact us. We specialise in both 2D and 3D formats, and can create photo-real images from scratch or existing artwork.
